Youth With A Vision (YWAV)
Purpose of Ministry:
We, Youth With A Vision (YWAV) of Queenstown Baptist Church seek to live lives that S.H.I.N.E passionately for Jesus Christ.
- Serve with our gifts - To recognize youths’ potential; To equip and empower them to be servant-leaders
- Heart for God - To train youth to love God and to develop a lifestyle that honors Him
- Introduce others to Christ - To equip youth to reach out to their community; To train and send youth for short term overseas youth mission trips
- Nurture faith - To teach and learn the truth of the living word; To become God-fearing men and women
- Encourage others - To cultivate kindred relationships based on love and trust
Activities:
YWAV ministry is fun-filled, relational, creative and Christ-centered. Our vision is to see transformed lives – by the knowledge and the application of Truth. The YWAV bible study curriculum is designed to address the needs of the various age groups and carefully constructed to relate to issues youths face today in the course of school and life. Our team of volunteer youth leaders is dedicated to imparting life, ministering to youth and building up the next generation. We have weekly cell meetings where we gather for a time of bible study and fellowship. There are three cells by age groups:
- Combust (13-14 yrs)
- Ignite (15-17 yrs)
- Ablaze (18-20 yrs)
